The American University of Malta is looking to recruit three senior, experienced and successful individuals into strategic posts to advance the institution’s progress following a period of establishment as a new private university in the stunning location of Bormla, Malta. Key areas of responsibility:
Developing, assessing and maintaining a Learning and Teaching Strategy, Impact and Research strategy and Quality Assurance strategy.
Designing and implementing research quality and teaching review systems.
Managing research budgets and teaching enhancement expenses.
Managing staff appointments.
Overseeing research allowance spend for faculty research activities.
Chairing the Curriculum Development Committee and leading on learning and teaching standards and review and development systems.
Overseeing admissions, student enrolment and progression management.
Liaising with IT services on student records and progression systems development
Seeking grant opportunities and practitioner/university partnerships in research and impact areas.
Working closely with the AUM Executive team to ensure smooth integration and development of functions, systems and good practices.
Deputizing for the University President as required.
Term of employment is for an initial 3-year period with a 6-month probation period.
Salary is negotiable and will be offered at a level appropriate to experience, qualifications and track record.
Candidates must be experienced international academic staff with a strong research and publications record, Doctoral level qualifications and a track record of success at senior leadership levels in university education.
