Overview
The College of Business at AUM seeks resilient, innovative candidates with a terminal degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. The BS in Business & Finance program focuses on corporate finance, investments, portfolio management, international finance, and ethical practices, preparing students for careers in banking, entrepreneurial finance, and financial technologies.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions, Entrepreneurial Finance, Debt and Capital Structure, and related areas, while maintaining an active research agenda and contributing to university service. The position is offered at the Full Professor level. Salary is competitive and negotiable.
Qualifications
● Ph.D. (terminal degree) in Finance, Accounting, Computational Finance, or a closely related field (completed by start date).
● Strong research background with a significant record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
● Proven teaching experience in finance at the undergraduate or graduate level.
● Resilience and ability to think outside the box in teaching, research, and service.
Preferred Qualifications
● Professional experience in banking, corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, or fintech.
● Expertise in applied or theoretical financial technologies.
● Experience in international environments or online/hybrid course development.
Responsibilities
● Teaching: Deliver undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in finance, using innovative methods.
● Research: Publish in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, advancing finance or fintech.
● Service: Contribute to departmental committees, curriculum development, and institutional initiatives.
● Mentor students on capstone projects and learning activities.
● Demonstrate adaptability and creative problem-solving.
