Overview

The American University of Malta is a dynamic, growing institution, located in the beautiful medieval centre of the Mediterranean in Malta. We are looking for a Recruitment Officer for students to join our team to support in duties and responsibilities. Preferably the Recruitment person should be someone who is familiar with maintaining student documents or.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Marketing campaigns to boost institution visibility, including social media management (LinkedIn, Instagram) and attending local/international educational fairs.

• Ensuring compliance when processing and evaluating applications for accuracy. 

• Follow up on inquiries and provide personalized advice on programmes and fees on a daily basis.

• Ensuring adherence to MQRIC qualifications standards and managing visa/residence permit requirements for third-country nationals.

• Liaising with other educational partners and departments to facilitate the enrolment process. 

• Support international student recruitment activities and maintain accurate applicant records in the admissions system

• Organising and filing recruitment documentation

• Communicating with applicants about their application status, including acceptance / rejection

• Organisation and participation in (or delivering) information sessions if needed

• Refer students to scholarship information as applicable

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Sales, Business, Marketing) with a relevant experience of 3-5 years in sales.

• Strong proficiency in English and Maltese (often required for local, this source says).

• Experience in sales, target-driven roles, or educational administration. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

• Experience in an academic or administrative role preferred

• Must have attention to detail, be highly organized, and enjoys networking

• Must be comfortable in working with large databases and do most of the work over the phone and/or email. Professional email and phone communication are required
